For sure SKS is going to be in next ban wave.

All this does is it further proves that banning guns doesn’t work. No matter what bad guys will find a way.

Meh i mean I think this will show the antigun crowd "see we need to ban all models or guns!"- since it was committed with a semi auto that wasnt banned.

The fact is that someone can always do this with a legally acquired gun, although its exceeedingly rare in Canada thanks to our licensing system.

I think the bigger thing to point out is that shootings are more common despite gun laws becoming more restrictive, most of the shootings being preventable due to blatantly awful police work or addressing the underlying social malaise, and in this case I dont think the type of gun even mattered. He "only" (still a tragedy) killed one person. People have killed many more with other means or even manual action guns.
