Legit wild how other subs are defending the officer for domeing a civilian saying things like “it’s easy for you, this was a stressful situation” and “how can it be a training issue, it’s just unfortunate”

I didn’t know that cops can now shoot civilians when shit gets real or crazy. So when swat kicks a door in they should shoot the hostage because the bad guy startled them. Training literally removes your nerves so you don’t do what that officer did. Absolute training failure and failure on the officer.

honestly that was just a tragedy. Both party got their problems. The cop had zero situational awareness, the civie had zero survival instinct.....

as an unarmed person, slowly sneaking up to a person with a gun is just plain stupid. I don't want to bash the deceased anymore, but he definitely wasn't fully understanding the situation. Maybe it was just the shock, maybe I wouldn't have done better in the same situation. I don't know

Except he didn't sneak up on anyone lol. She was cowering away turned arround and he was there. Had he run up in her direction he would have gotten shot too. 

Slow and steady is litteraly how you are supposed to behave arround antsy cops.

Ok, so you recommend he run towards her? Or are you suggesting he sought shelter with the man wearing military fatigues holding a long gun?

You wouldn't have done any better in this man's shoes. You only think you would have because you, unlike him, hold the privilege of hindsight.

he was a couple steps away from leaving the scene and still chose to approach an armed person with a gun unannounced. What do you think it's gonna happen when this armed cop happens to not have a good trigger discipline? Let's just conclude this as a tragedy and call it a day.
