Except he didn't sneak up on anyone lol. She was cowering away turned arround and he was there. Had he run up in her direction he would have gotten shot too. 

Slow and steady is litteraly how you are supposed to behave arround antsy cops.

slow and steady is how you approach a cop who's aware your existence in the immediate surroundings.

Ok, so you recommend he run towards her? Or are you suggesting he sought shelter with the man wearing military fatigues holding a long gun?

You wouldn't have done any better in this man's shoes. You only think you would have because you, unlike him, hold the privilege of hindsight.

he was a couple steps away from leaving the scene and still chose to approach an armed person with a gun unannounced. What do you think it's gonna happen when this armed cop happens to not have a good trigger discipline? Let's just conclude this as a tragedy and call it a day.
