Only 38 thousand people? Damn, that's even lower than I expected. Good job lads

Still 38000 too many, as far as im concerned... I was thinking that a lot of these guns were from retailers that suddenly found themselves with millions of dollars worth of firearms that nobody could legally buy... made me feel better than thinking that gun owners were stupid enough to go for this garbage.

They always said it was the numbers for individuals. It was the weirdos here that kept saying "must be businesses". That being said, I can't believe how many NR owners sold out their Brothers and sisters, especially all those gsg owners trying to recoup their little bit of money.

You have to remember that they sold these things at Cabelas and Canadian Tire and a lot of people just bought them because their cheap and cool looking. "Causal" PAL holders who don't have much invested in the politics. I was always quite confident that we would see a lot of this shit turned in because its doesn't have a lot of monetary or sentimental value to a lot of people who purchased them.

I suspect Poly and the LPC will have some photos of all these guns laid out, in black and white to hide the pink plastic and wood stocks lol. That is a favorite tactic of Poly, they used to do it at press conferences all the time.

Agreed. Also its been a few years, and people have life changes. Who knows how many of these had circumstances that (unfortunately for the rest of us) that they needed to this. Perhaps a spousal reason, recent widow/widower. Maybe getting married or a kid on the way that freeing up some cash on a hobby you may not actively be taking part in anymore. Perhaps the veiled threats of jail was enough for people to get in early because they may feel they have too much to lose.

Again, it sucks for the rest of us but i'm gonna go with a grain of salt that these people did what was best for them at the time.
