"The RCMP centre defines crime guns as firearms that were used or suspected to have been used in criminal offences, guns whose serial numbers have been obliterated or altered, firearms that were found but not reported lost or stolen, and replicas, toys, 3D-printed guns, pellet or air guns that have been used in criminal offences"

So when the police previously said 90+% of guns used in crime were smuggled that was a lie? Or is this the lie?

Keyword here is “traced”. Like that chopped pos “pistol” 10/22 that was posted here the other day; it can probably be traced back to Canada.

This is straight up lying by omission. How about the guns that can’t be traced?

And the guns that are traced tend to be "firearms" like from the post the other day where police siezed 13 "firearms" and it was pellet guns and a crossbow. All of these count toward those misleading statistics about firearms in Canada

I bet the pellet and air guns are doing a lot of heavy lifting here too. Lots of kids screw around with them without knowing the consequences and catch a charge.
