Buy recommendations Watch my local gunsmith make 200$

This is the second time this happens (after 500 rounds and +115 rounds after that).

Because I re-screwed the picatinny rail screws and added blue loctite myself (which wasn't done from the factory), I've voided the warrant for this component according to Stoeger Canada. So basically I can't screw in my own loose screws without voiding warranty on the screws and threads.

I was gonna recommend all Beretta 1301 owners to loctite their thread when they buy their brand new shotgun, but I can't even properly recommend that.

Thanks for the advice. My local gunsmith will check the threads and see if they need to be redone. They also guarantee their work, so if it pops off again they will fix it. So after this, hopefully no issue. Also, its possible the threads and or screws were slightly damaged the first failure, which lead to the second failure? Can’t know for sure now i guess

FYI the metal Beretta uses for their screws is very soft and will strip easily. Ask me how I know. I had my gunsmith replace them with a higher quality screw than the OEM product after mine had to get drilled out.

I would prefer the screw to strip instead of the reciever.

- TM22 Owner who's screw removed the threads from the gun.

Always
Replace screws if I have to remove them. Especially in the case of fine thread pitch and small diameter screws
The beretta uses an m4-0.7 screw. Be sure
You’re using high quality new screws anytime
You remove a red dot or a rail from your receivers.

100% do not re use screws . Also for us in the gun biz, we have seen 100,s of failures wirh the 1301/a300 on rails and sights. We just finished a level 2 tactial shotgun operators course and 2 of the 1301 lost sight screws or rails.

It looks like a fa they issue. When we work on these we are seeing oil in the thread holes thrn they instal the screws. Sometimes with thread locker some times without. Who is your gunsmith. On a side note, That optics is grossly over sized forcthe little rail on the 1301
