LMAOOO

Freaking love this! God they must be seething right now because the buyback portal (their best propaganda for this program “bUt YoU wIlL gET pAiD”) is already closed, over budget and they still can’t collect the guns. Can’t demonstrate it’s a success, gun crime is worse now than before the bans.

Supreme Court case is literally challenging the very nature of OiC bans, I bet they’re seething, just seething.

Not to mentioned they do follow and subscribe to gun stores, so they get all the emails about the pre orders.

Obligatory, fuck poly, fuck the old hags that run them and hope provolone has another meltdown and pushes the chipmunk again!

Honestly im not even sure if the timming for the supreme court case is right. They have a majortiy and could simply ban them with a proper bill wich will have no hope to be reverse like the OIC.

The second if is doing a LOT of heavy lifting. Even OICs should come with grandfathering. But no, we get fucked again

For sure, but it is insane to me that you and I have zero legal rights to anything that we “own”.

2

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR May 22 '26

It's truly mind blowing isn't it?

31

u/Disastrous-Panic-87 May 21 '26

Yup that's the part that scares me the most.

Still could reverse it but would need a majority government and change the law

11

u/Whispersfine May 21 '26

Well. The majority liberals have right now is not very strong. It’s a super big tent centered around economic agendas. That means they will push economic policies first and then use gun control to please the mega city voters.

Therefore, the worst case could come when liberals really screwed up or decided to call an election. Gun control right now is still very low on the ballot question list. I won’t spend much time on this topic because of the limited return.

Carney’s government inherited some of the gun control policy from Trudeau era and they seem to be distancing themselves from the previous liberal government. In my humble opinion, this is more like a side arm for them. Won’t be using too much now but it’s good to have it.

The gun control program is also a total failure if not a national joke now. CPC is trying to leverage on this matter so that gives libs more reason to keep this a cold dead issue.

My assumption is sometime down the road, they will come up with a grandfathering or freeze and call it a win. I think Ottawa is smart enough to realize that any more money spent on this issue will their financial and political deficit. Trudeau might be silly enough to go down that rabbit hole, but I don’t see that in Carney.

u/HappyCan7250 May 22 '26

I don't know man, I don't think Ottawa is ever smart enough not to throw more money on the bonfire. Anytime they see an issue, they just throw money at it without worrying or caring. They'll burn as much as they want, and can, without a second thought. They'll just shutdown any committees and investigations into it anyway. 0 accountability. The Canadian public will just forget, just like the billions and billions they've sunk into failing businesses due to their own failures, and no one bats and eye. Carney is about to spend a few dozen billion taxpayer dollars trying to fucking pump C02 into the ground even. He doesn't give a shit about wasting our money.

The LPC still has some real nutty lefties in it, who may just well twist Carneys arm a bit too. He had the chance to distance himself and drop the program, or grandfather, and he pushed ahead still no matter what.

I imagine this "New World Order" he keeps talking about, does NOT entail civilian ownership of guns. You also won't need to hunt because we'll all be vegans or eating cloned meat! (half kidding).

17

u/Disastrous-Panic-87 May 21 '26

There are still people hopefull about liberal government on this sub?

-2

u/Whispersfine May 21 '26

If you call opinions beliefs. I guess you are entitled to opinions so help yourself buddy

7

u/gspotcowboy May 21 '26

Unfortunately we're in the good guys/bad guys era of politics, so opinions automatically equal beliefs 🤷‍♂️

I'm also right there with you fella, Carney doesn't need Quebec's votes until April of 2029. IMO he doesn't need the political capital from kicking the horse corpse of gun control; if anything, he knows it's unpopular and flawed, and doesn't want to keep it in the limelight.

We'll all see what happens, together, as a community... but the current government can kick whatever they want down the road. At least until 2029 I guess.

2

u/Whispersfine May 21 '26

I agree. I understand the widespreaded frustration inside this community but I firmly believe gun control policy in Canada has been a political stunt, at least very much so for the recent years.

People oftentimes think libs benefits from it and they are right, libs do but also got backfired sometimes. The recent failure of buy back program has shown them the public is no longer willing to squander money on political right but expensive and useless programs. Carney, a pragmatic politician running heavily on economic platforms should realize the very little return he’s getting back from it.

I personally won’t be so optimistic to assume we are safe till 29. I believe once there is enough chips on the table, most likely a economic recovery, they will call election right away to solve the “ undemocratic majority “ issue .

But for now, I don’t see another major gun seizing movement in at least 12 months.

2

u/escv_69420 May 21 '26

That's what i've been saying. Carney is too smart to deal with Ms. Not A Gopher any more than he absolutely had too. She and this program are just a liability at this point. I would bet money on it all just kinda dying on the vine. They got the majority, they got the liberal news watcher brownie points for trying, why not just save the money by not actually doing it and never talking about it again?

2

u/MustardTiger88 May 22 '26

They are literally going down the rabbit hole. It was obvious when they doubled down after the Gary audio leak.

u/Whispersfine May 22 '26

Will see who’s right

4

u/jonf00 May 21 '26

Poly is an amazing engineering school. Poly se souvient is trash when it comes to firearm policy advocacy.

90

u/CurlyWurly61 May 21 '26

Call me ignorant, but this is the first time i've ever seen her face

Tell me she isn't the EPITOME of a Karen... jesus

77

u/Jaargo May 21 '26

Wait until you see how she acts on camera. The stereotype she embodies, you can't make that shit up.

47

u/CurlyWurly61 May 21 '26

I just searched up a clip... here voice and attitude is even worse than her looks. She is insufferable

18

u/HungryFollowing8909 May 21 '26

I feel bad for her kids, they're gonna grow up knowing their mother is mostly reviled and outright distrusted outside of Quebec.

Her male counterpart has to be equally insufferable though, because Holy shit i don't see how anyone would wake up next to that and think they made a good choice.

13

u/Curious_Fail_3723 May 21 '26

I'm amazed she HAS kids.

pathological and malignantly so

28

u/marston82 May 21 '26

Hilarious that poly probably pays a whole team of people to monitor this subreddit and all the other Canadian gun forums.

9

u/IGnuGnat May 22 '26

I maintain that every single firearm purchased since the bans should be posted with: "This purchase was inspired by Nathalie Provost the second greatest gun salesperson Canada has ever seen. Thank you Nathalie"

u/Acceptable_Visit_115 May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

If you count the one-off L85A1, then there are three lol

I firmly believe that someone in the RCMP with a wicked sense of humor have been approving these guns left right and centre just to mess with the gun grabbers, as they don't fit either the OIC nor C-21.

53

u/BilboBaggSkin May 21 '26

Well the rcmp is just following the law. They should be NR. Just like the ar15 should have been NR if it wasn’t classified by name.

21

u/Acceptable_Visit_115 May 21 '26

Most of the time, yes.

That doesn't stop them from calling the R9 Mk1 (Turkish blowback half-MPX creature) an AR-180B though. I'd at least give them credit if they called it a MPX variant.

15

u/BilboBaggSkin May 21 '26

Fair enough. They’ve completely ignored logic in the past. Like the blaze 47 lol.

14

u/GokuBlank May 21 '26

The WHATNOW?! If I can own a L85A1 and haven't been owning an L85A1 then I am gonna kick myself.

23

u/Maleficent_Ad_2259 May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

A dude made one and go it approved but hes not gonna make others.

14

u/looloopklopm May 21 '26

Everyone has a price

18

u/Acceptable_Visit_115 May 21 '26

Yeah Motiuk Manufacturing made an one-off semiauto L85A1 lol, since it's not a named OIC firearm and was designed prior to the C21 cutoff date, it's non-restricted.

50

u/yoyofagbro May 21 '26

Poly looks like she eats babies

3

u/2Puppers4Sale Custom Flair (Be appropriate or else we'll take it away again) May 22 '26

She has to, to survive, everyone knows that. Ain't her fault.

9

u/Mah_Buddy_Keith May 21 '26

“I can’t stop winning!”

8

u/jay370gt May 21 '26

All that’s missing is a little moustache.

24

u/daddyfatsacks22 May 21 '26

Ugh… just this woman’s face makes my blood boil.

3

u/DryConfidence77 May 22 '26

High cortisol makes you look like her, you want to avoid that

9

u/yummybunnybear May 21 '26

I like the meme but I don't like the parallels. Our firearms are deemed weapons of mass destruction, she's going to wage a forever war against us, and we're going to bleed economically.

8

u/ablemount May 21 '26

I believe that the liberal plan is to disarm the public, and to that end, anything they do to screw us over is a win for them.

26

u/feelingblurple May 21 '26

“Where did the assault style firearm touch you?”

13

u/boozefiend3000 May 21 '26

Let’s hope she has an aneurysm 🤞🏻

20

u/Foreign_Active_7991 May 21 '26

Nah, I hope something criminal is uncovered, she loses all her political clout, and ends up just having to live with being completely impotent in her rage.

11

u/nexthigherassy May 21 '26

What pisses me off is if she holds that seat for a measly 6 years she's entitled to a pension that is better than what anyone in the military gets.

3

u/escv_69420 May 21 '26

I mean, isnt the quid pro quo arrangement of handing the liberals her riding in exchange for supporting a "charity" and "think tank" that she is the head of just straight up corruption?

6

u/Curious_Fail_3723 May 21 '26

And to my recollection the actual picture this is based on is George Bush being informed of the 9/11 attacks.

3

u/cdn_sentry117 May 22 '26

Yes it definitely is

4

u/Relevant_Diver_3228 May 21 '26

What do they mean by assault STYLE  makes no sense at all Edit spelling

3

u/Supermoves3000 May 22 '26

Okay, what did I miss this time?

5

u/cdn_sentry117 May 22 '26

The Makasi and IWI Carmel are happily NR

totally nonthreatening family outdoor sporting equipment?

Unfortunately non-buoyant canoeing accessory?

3

u/Supermoves3000 May 22 '26

Lakes are so full of tragically non-buoyant canoeing accessories right now

5

u/Dill_Pickle_Tears May 21 '26

Likely the RCMP are just doing their jobs and are an unwilling participant (at least outside of the high level employees).

Since the legislation banning previously NR firearms is stupid and flawed, you get weird contradictions like you see with these three rifles.

2

u/under_hunter82376 May 21 '26

now , where is it exactly ?

1

u/stepchildzx May 27 '26

Sorry but did I miss something recent that happened?🤔
