Do whatever you need to do to make a proper Canadian double foot gun picture. I forgot to tell you that was a very good looking rifle before. That is a very good looking rifle.

Nice my renegade looks almost the same but shorter barrel good job!! I have a Nikon black force 1000 1-4x24 scope on mine tho, but leupold will be my go to from now on after purchasing other brands they’re the best imo

I haven’t had to deal with it but I always look for lifetime warranty when possible Vortex also has it but never dealt with them yet either. My Nikon I got used so I couldn’t pass up the price nice illuminated scope for 223 drop compensation

I need to get my hands on one before I decide to order one. Not sure if I’d like the straight pull. Just know I want something with a short barrel.

Nice. I'm starting to realize I enjoy shooting manual action guns more than semi autos, so either an MRA straight pull or a Henry lever action is my next purchase for sure.

Because you only have limited shitty options, or because you legitimately like manual actions?
This isn't a snarky comment, I'm just curious if you got into the game late (no shade) or if you've been shooting for a while. We had some pretty skookum semiautomatics prior to the ban(s).

I’m probably in a weird minority, but I enjoy the experience of needing to do a little more on my end. Like when people do the Enfield “mad minute” and such, there’s a pride in the difficulty and success. I like setting up steels at a few different distances and smacking them with my .357 S&W because there’s a challenge in cycling the action and staying on target.
Semi-autos are fantastic and definitely have a place for hunting, clays, shooting competitions, and such.
If I’m just at the range, it feels like I’m getting a less satisfying return throwing money down range with centre fire prices (SKS gets a pass here with the cheaper Redbox and spamcan ammo). As a military history nerd, there’s a lot of semi-autos I would love to own from a collector type position (the C1 rifle being top of my list)

I have two semi autos, an SKS, and an OG tm22 done up with a few nice accessories and the top charging handle mod. I did get into the game late, but the semis I have function flawlessly for what they are.
🤷🏻♂️ I prefer shooting my cz457. I have a Benelli Supernova, and don't really have any desire to buy a semi auto shotgun.. Although I probably will eventually just for shits and giggles. I just prefer careful, precise shooting over mag dumping. Which is all I tend to do with semis. I line up my first shot, and take my time, then I send shots faster and faster as they land. I prefer to push each one down the pipe myself, reset my aim, and place each shot individually.
Doesn't mean I don't like semis, I'm just starting to realize after owning a couple that I prefer working the action myself. I've been shooting firearms on and off with friends and family for years, and with airguns all my life, but never had the time or money to get into the hobby myself until recently. I'm 37. My license didn't come in til after the 25 bans.. Everything I wanted to buy got banned. But now that I've owned some semis, and sent a few thousand rounds down range with them, I'm starting to think that maybe precision shooting is more my style.🤷🏻♂️
If the OICs got reversed and everything went back on the market today, I'd still buy a few semis that I'm missing, but tbh I feel like I'm just a manual action kinda guy.

How do you like the gun? Been eyeballing one as a mid-long range plinker, option 2 is the Adler ad500 tac but the maverick seems much better built.

its as accurate as you are,
id say I have two critiques: the stock it comes with aint great, and the trigger is a tad heavy.
I just got a 2 stage trigger tech diamond to swap in, will test soon.

That’s what I like to hear, thanks for the rundown man. Not a lotta read ups on the gun that I’ve been able to find at least so I appreciate the hands on info from ya.
For the stock and trigger, are those things you’d recommend I start shopping before even getting the gun or do you think it’s pretty serviceable out of the box?
