If anything, thank the people in this sub who voted PPC in the previous election - without splitting the right, we would have had a Conservative government in that session, and none of this shit would have happened.
PP did the damage himself by not conserving anything - he didn't even win his own seat (and you can't blame the PPC for that because they didn't even have a candidate in that riding). He can't just agree with the liberals on every major issue except 2 and call himself conservative, then blame another party for having a better platform that's more appealing to informed voters lol. Carney just adopted the same moderate liberal policies and made Poilievre entirely irrelevant (and has now secured himself a majority government).
I vote for platforms, not colours, and PP's platform was liberal. Just look at all the aisle-crossers and try to tell me any of them were ever conservative in the first place.
(This is not to say that PPC is ideal, but they were a better conservative party than the current CPC which I desperately hope will get their act together soon).
That seat was lost in the election after the one I'm referring to. In the most recent election the PPC wasn't a factor. Not disagreeing that PP is shit, but my vote goes to the party that has the highest probability of letting me keep my guns. Simple as that.
Max wanted revenge against the conservatives, and he got that by splitting the vote. Never had a chance of winning let alone holding a seat.
So "conservative" gun owners that hate PP fell into PPC voters or abstained from voting at all and voila Trudeau was elected again, the rest is history.
We aren't a big enough community to throw our political voices away on fringe candidates because they didn't pander to some nonsense uber-right chemtrails kind of nonsense.
