I was surprised by this. On Vancouver island, once you get out of Victoria, there are lots of loggers and other folks that have a bit of redneck in them. Up by Campbell River and farther north, lots of the stop signs on the logging roads have bullet holes in them haha.
IME the big differences you see in people's attitudes and beliefs are rural vs urban. You don't see big differences in rural people from different provinces, and vice versa with city people. I've seen that in every province I've been in.

RURAL quebeckers are every bit as rednecky as elsewhere in the country, maybe moreso. They're just vastly outnumbered.
Same sort of thing goes for BC. The further you get away from the big cities, the more 'my kinda people' there are.
