Now comes the insane part, how they hell do they plan to collect and move 67,000 rifles in 6 months using only Quebec police, Waterloo police, Halifax police and Vancouver. Everyone else declined.
The biggest cities in Quebec have their own police, and some cities already said they won't pay for this. If the government want them to collect, it will be overtime pay and will have to be paid by the federal government or nothing will be done. Not budgeted in the city budget to do this.
It might get wild, I expect a tattle hotline and people might want to scrub their phone or social media or anything firearm related but that's just me and the pandemic memories.
Considering the liberals have a majority and they not only want to disarming people but bring in censorship laws rhat would see people jailed for speech like the UK is doing I'd say we're pretty fucking screwed. Canada is gone completely gone. My grandfather is killing I his grave the enemy controls the gates he was part of the devils brigade in ww2 and now a Canadian government is just as bad as the one he fought
not my problem :3 play stupid game win stupid prizes. we will "cheer" them along every step of the way. Unfortunately ofc this is ran on taxpayers' money.
I think nothing, is the answer. At least at first. This is a miserable political albatross hung around the neck of Carney and others by a departing leader and his retainers. Everybody wants this to go to sleep for awhile. And the Supremes have sort of frozen everything until they decide the case.
Where it might come in to play is as an add-on charge if a person is caught for/convicted of something else: you’re arrested for beating up a guy in a drunken bar fight, police obtain a search warrant on info of a possible extra risk for violence because you may be holding a prohib weapon, and then an additional charge of possessing a prohibited firearm is added on.
If you are one of the people who declared, your police service CANNOT decline to receive it. They may not be taking up the cause and facilitating the collection, but if a member of the public attends, police cannot turn them away.
