Now comes the insane part, how they hell do they plan to collect and move 67,000 rifles in 6 months using only Quebec police, Waterloo police, Halifax police and Vancouver. Everyone else declined.

I think nothing, is the answer. At least at first. This is a miserable political albatross hung around the neck of Carney and others by a departing leader and his retainers. Everybody wants this to go to sleep for awhile. And the Supremes have sort of frozen everything until they decide the case.

Where it might come in to play is as an add-on charge if a person is caught for/convicted of something else: you’re arrested for beating up a guy in a drunken bar fight, police obtain a search warrant on info of a possible extra risk for violence because you may be holding a prohib weapon, and then an additional charge of possessing a prohibited firearm is added on.
