Y'all need to consider there are probably a ton of people who are seeing this as the only way to get money out of something they "can't" use in a time where household cash is hella low
So gutless for this "compensation" to be dangled out during such an inflationary time where people are really struggling financially.... And even the "compensation" isn't being done honestly or fairly.
I know a few people who's professions unfortunately are worth more than saying fuck the buyback.
Some people have security clearances and such that they can't justify possibly losing their jobs over keeping a couple firearms out of the many they own.
I mean that’s exactly it, they’re using the fact you have a life to threaten you to ruin it.
Criminals don’t care. They just keep harming people. But the tax payer with kids, you can destroy this person, destroy their kids and ensure it’s more people who need the LPC welfare just to survive. It’s compliance through brutality.
The more you harm your law abiding citizens, the more you can get away with stripping their rights.
So they could have waited until amnesty is up and then destroyed it themselves instead of feeding this bullshit program, and they would still be getting the $0 they would get from declaring anyway. As others said cowards.
The government is banking on the fact they successfully destroyed this country and Canadians are barely surviving, this is why the program is hunger games style.
50% of Canadians are pay cheque to pay cheque. 6.7% unemployment and we still haven’t see the true effects of inflation from the Iran war.
Many many Canadians will give up a gun for the chance to eat. It’s fucking cruel.
