News / Politics / Activism Stand on Guard - Conservative Party of Canada

https://www.conservative.ca/stand-on-guard-2/

The bill makes important changes to Section 34 of the Criminal Code so that force is presumed to be justified if used against an illegal intruder. Conservatives first announced the ‘Stand on Guard’ principle back in August, asking the government to introduce legislation in the fall session.

And I don't understand why Harper didn't change them with his majority. Unless... what was my point again? Oh yea. They don't actually care.

Wrong again. Politicians don't revisit old ground for a reason.

No. But deadly force for an unarmed nonthreatening person on your property is not the way to change.

Arm chair reddit energy strikes again, playing it up to protect those oh so poor home invaders. Also if someone is breaking into your home, calling them non-threatening is pretty out there. It's like you didn't even read the article or the original post, you just jumped right in conservatives bad mode.

The post is a nothing burger to stoke the masses and the article is the same thing with more words and sensationalism.

So you refuse to engage with the actual content of the thread but you'll rapidly push how bad the conservatives are?

Glad to see where you stand.

Show me actual content. This bill is fear mongering and doomed to fail.
