I don't have quick access to my firearm in case of someone breaking in, because they are in my basement in a locked room, in locked cases all locked individually. So I doubt I could use them in case of someone breaking in my house.

But let's pretend I would have a quick access to one, if you break into my house, you are a threat and needs to be dealt with, and I wouldn't even think twice before emptying the mag

If I or anyone else for that matter wanted to legally murder people although for some reason the government just calls it killing someone when it's legal (funny how they use those words). Why wouldn't I simply go off and join the army? Or go fight in Ukraine which last I checked is perfectly legal to do in Canada go off and fight in another army as a foreign fighter.

I'd argue a country is a possession so again please tell me why it's okay for the government and the rich to protect there property with as you put in another comment "deterrents" but when a regular peon does it that's a no no.

You can. They are also restricted to reasonable force. Just like we are.
