That wouldn't be good tbh, I prefer to have the same thing throughout the provinces.

It would be a difficult dilemma for many people to move to a different provinces for what they want with their firearms, while there is no guarantee that future provincial government won't change.

Like I said its not perfect coast to coast but I see it as a more feasible prospect. Do you truly, deep in your soul see a future in which alberta, sask and qc walk hand in hand with black rifles protected via constitutional amendment? Again, easier through amendments to provincial constitutions since only one province has to vote.

Your last point is moot. There is no guarantee that federal govts wont change either and eventually a liberal majority will return and once again we will be here concerned about the next gun grab or ban. The precedent has already been set that a govt can just oic these things in. I would prefer not to have to put my guns away every 4 years while I wait for the conservatives to repeal the next oic's or bad gun legislation.

I think it very much becomes a personal decision what to do when that time comes.

Meanwhile doing what I can to promote a Canadian firearm culture and educate people.

The change in government can also happen provincial or federal level and I prefer to have something that sets in stones so we didn't have to go back and forth like this and goes whatever we have slowly erode away.

Just like saying, it ain't over until the fat lady sings, so we will see what happens when we need to cross that bridge.

Things are only going to continue to erode if all we do is wait for something to happen on the national level. We have been waiting for 30+ years and the bans, proposed or otherwise, keep coming. Meanwhile, there is momentum within some provinces that could see real change happen. Im 33 and two of my guns have been banned twice already!

In a perfect world I want to see something at a national level but with groups like poly, the bloc and toronto having such a disproportionate grip on power in this area, Im not gonna hold my breath that it will.

That's what Czechia has but that's a very small country. In a huge diverse country like Canada, what the US has is about our only hope.

You're right about Quebec and the GTA holding power in this country. Until that changes, nothing will.
