Are there any 'new' muskets produced that work with smokeless powder? Don't want to deal with the whole explosive licensing stuff but wanna have a musket because it's fun.

Explosives licensing? Are you planning on storing 100 years worth of black powder?

Uh mah gawd, antique lovin' noguns.

Blackpower requires no license at all up to till a certain quantity.

Do you have a PAL at all?

No PAL yet, just making a shopping list for if/when I get it. I'm not solely interested in antiques, plenty of modern & tactical guns I'd like to get, I just want a musket in the collection.

No. Don't use anything other than black powder in a flintlock. If it ignites ( it probably won't) it will ruin your day.

Who told you that you need an explosives license for BP? I have enough powder, cap and balls for 1000 shots right now no problem.

As for new production muzzleloaders, marstar usually has them instock and uberti, pedersoli and pietta among others still make them. They almost all exclusively run BP and are not rated for smokeless. Currently eyeing up an 1862 richmond and sharps myself.
