One of each. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do.

Unless you are a collector, either will shoot fine.

The latest Type 56 shipment looks to be mint, and on sale for $469.99.

Google Norinco Chinese Type 56 Canada, find retailers selling at $469.99. There are a few in Markham/Richmond Hill Ontario. One starts with T, one starts with G, one starts with S. I am sure there are others as well.

Most Chinese SKS in Canada are not Norinco. Most Chinese SKS in Canada were manufactured before Norinco existed. Norinco SKS are much more common in USA. Our Military Surplus SKS are more correctly called Type 56, or just Chinese SKS.

Also, the Chinese SKS have super shitty sears. I recommend replacing the sear with a Murray's sear. Safer, and results in a much nicer trigger pull.
