TBH I doubt even getting PP into office, or even a conservative majority would bring any gun rights back. All they've ever done was cancel the long rifle registry.

There is literally no political gains but only losses for anyone to return gun rights. I can already imagine the left and Trud'oh screaming "they just want to be americans and have gun violence everywhere!" It's just a really easy ammunition (see what I did there? :-D ) to give to liberal as a (pointless, but never stopped them) talking point.

Would I vote conservatives? fuck yeah, fuck trudeau and his fake cronies; do I have any delusion PP would actually do anything for us? nope not really either.

As you may know, the Conservative Party of Canada is against any legislation, including C-21, that needlessly impacts lawful gun owners. The arbitrary ban in C-21 will do nothing to stop gun smuggling, nor will it prevent gang violence. That said, there is only so much that can be done by the Conservative Party when the NDP (25 votes in Parliament) consistently votes with the Liberals (158 votes in Parliament).

Together they have 183 votes. Parliament has 338 MPs in total.That means the Liberals and the NDP have above the 50% of votes necessary to pass anything on their agenda (including C-21) without having to pay much attention to the other parties’ priorities.

That is the response I've received from my local CPC, so hopefully they would do something.

I got the same when I emailed PP campaign about guns during his campaign (without the second bit which is super true). Only Lewis outright said she would undo the ban if she won office, none of the other ones have said that out right. So even if PP takes office in majority he never committed to it like a proper politician because there just isn't enough noise for him to have any political gains once he won.

Governments ,once taketh away, will never return regardless of party. The only hope is we have enough shooters in parliament, regardless of side, to understand and refuse to stand by bullshit libs are doing to ban guns (and try know it doesn't do anything, they just want to ban guns for political talking point, and it's easy to do)
