What store do you guys buy safes from?

Basically anywhere local to you since shipping will be prohibitive.

PeaveyMart has a decent selection.

Bought a 18 gun safe from PeavyMart on sale last week. So, wait for sale. Canadian Tire has gun safe as well. These things are heavy, 2 people minimum to move it, depends on the size/weight.

Which model did you go with?

I'm holding out for the Black Friday sales and I will likely be grabbing my next safe from them as well.

Sports Afield 18 gun safe. That thing is about 220lb, it was on a skid. Picked it up in an Acura RDX SUV (55” length, fits SUV without issues). Had a 4 wheel dolly and moved the safe down from SUV myself, used the dolly to move it into the house.

Had help to move the safe from 1st floor to the 3rd floor.

One tip, remove the door, it is about 60-70lb. It makes the safe much easier to move with 2 people.

The bigger safe would weight probably 300lb, fun times!

The few that I've been looking at weigh between 300-500lbs and I need to get it down to the basement.

I don't buy safes, just cheap cabinets and trigger locks but Cabelas has a decent ish selection of higher end ones
