Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Alberta recently has been quite quick once "the initial review is done". People have been reporting 2 weeks. Now, if you accidently screwed something up on our application, or if you selected "Yes" to any of the Personal History questions, that could definitely result in significant delay.

Before I sent my application off I made sure to triple check it thoroughly and see if I had any mistakes, I didn’t so hopefully that doesn’t slow anything down. I hope to get it before new year.
