My PAL license journey so far (i'm in AB):

-application received 6 months ago

-credit card charged 3 months ago

-emailed CFO for an update 6 weeks ago (still no response)

-contacted MP's office and they reached out to CFO for an update. CFO came back saying my application is still under review, and new applications can take up to 18 months. Refused to provide any more detail.

My only theory is they found something in your application/background check they're digging more in to. Otherwise, keep calling until you get through.

A name roughly similar to a serial killer, not the same, just sounds similar.
