This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Does anyone know the possibility of getting PAL if you’re a non-resident/non-citizen of Canada?

Non-residents can apply. I know a Chinese guy who was here for school on a temporary visa who got his RPAL last year.

Sure, why not? Like everyone else you will need references, an address, ID to take the CFSC, additionally you may need a letter of good conduct from your country of citizenship. (or their police)
