Does anyone know if you need to put a stamp on envelope addressed for Miramichi? I did anyways when I sent it in, but my brother said I didn't need to as gov mail doesnt need stamps?

It needs a stamp unless you have a duty paid envelope or it states no stamp needed in the stamp spot... you need a stamp for any private mail even if it's to a federal source but sometimes canada post are super heros and just assume it's duty paid based off address. You took a risk there but it has a chance not to be a issue also if you sent the mail with Canada post.
