When talking about "lighty oiled rag" to oil firearms, can I buy a large cotton rag and once done, soak it and wash it? I'd prefer it to constantly buying small patches.

Just put it in a zip lock. I’m sure you have a cotton t shirt that needs to be retired into a rag. Don’t waste your money on fancy cleaning shit.

Weirdly enough, I don't personally have one but I'll ask around my family. As for cleaning it, once it gets too dirty, can I wash it?

You can wash it, do you have old jeans? Thrift store in you area? Old cotton or linen sheets or towels? Microfibre works well too.

I stupidly thought cotton was better for some reason, but since I wear glasse yeah, microfibre shouldn't be a problem. Thanks!
