I just got my RPAL approved in Ontario. I want to buy a handgun or 2 before the freeze ASAP.

Is there any advantage in terms of timeline for me ordering from a gun shop in Ontario or a different province? I heard BC might be approving transfers quicker? So as an Ontarian should I order from a BC gun shop instead of Ontario?

Would make no difference in your case, as Ontario CFO would be one approving for you.

You also don’t need the approval to go through prior to the freeze. Just need it to be initiated.

The only advantage ordering from BC is that you don't pay PST on the purchase, only GST.

Approval is still in your home province CFO.
