Are we really assured that handgun transfers that are still awaiting CFO approval while C-21 passes, still be approved?

The amendment seems to be on the step where CFOs evaluate transfer orders and not on requirements for the creation/submission of the said order itself. So, I'm afraid, just because our requests have been submitted before the deadline, it doesn't automatically protect them from the new criteria which could still be used to reject the request.

I don't know if this was discussed already.. If not, what do you think?

Yes it's been discussed to death. Here's the summary:

  1. Current legislation states that initiated transfers will be honoured

  2. Official word is that initiated transfers will be honoured

  3. Precedent from past cases when laws have changed is that initiated transfers will be honoured

  4. If they change their minds and don't honour them, there's nothing we can do about it anyways so it's not worth fussing over things upon which we have no control
