Yes it's been discussed to death. Here's the summary:

  1. Current legislation states that initiated transfers will be honoured

  2. Official word is that initiated transfers will be honoured

  3. Precedent from past cases when laws have changed is that initiated transfers will be honoured

  4. If they change their minds and don't honour them, there's nothing we can do about it anyways so it's not worth fussing over things upon which we have no control

All true… except point 4: You could sue the government. You might actually win in light of the precedent your point 3 mentions.
