Hey there I’m in Ontario. The RCMP just received my forms this morning, any idea wha the wait times are to find out if you got accepted?

Mine (ON) was:

Received Apr 4

CC charged July 7

Issued Oct 13

I also spoke with the CFO and convinced them to send an email requesting mine be moved up on Oct 6 after seeing several people from Ontario receive their license before me; but applied well after. Wasn't easy to get through. Called at 7:47am to get in the call que and they picked up at 10:30am.

Ah I see, I hear lots of people call in to see the status of the license and for it to be issued sooner. Who do I call exactly in Ontario the CFO or the RCMP themselves? What do I say when I call? Obviously it’s a tad bit early for me to call since they just received my forms today however when should I call?

Call the CFO. They will be able to tell you if the file has been sent to them from the RCMP and if it has, then you'll want to talk to them. Don't bother calling though, if your CC hasn't been charged. I would wait at least a month after it shows up on the website as the mandatory 28 day wait time starts when the file is entered into the system.

CFO in Ontario is xt: 7503 1-800-731-4000

Once they have it, it becomes a crap shoot on whether or not the person on the other end decides to push it forward. I spoke to them about 5 times over the 3 months since they had it in their pile before this person decided to send a request to move it up. She told me right off that she can't approve it and that the email might be ignored.

The tricky part is getting through. They open at 8:30am. I would call in around 7:45am to get in the call queue. Then you'll wait on hold for a few hours. Mine got answered at 10:30am.
