Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Upgrade to RPAL Update:

Received at RCMP - Aug 7

CC charge and online - Oct 7

Approved - Oct 14

Alberta.

Placed and order last night. So glad I made it in time.

Wow! One week for the Alberta CFO. That is amazing. She said she was spending money to fix the delays. I guess that is about as good as she can do. The 2 month time for the CC charge is at the CFP in New Brunswick; out of the control of the provincial CFO.
