Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Hey there I’m in Ontario. The RCMP just received my forms this morning, any idea wha the wait times are to find out if you got accepted?

I’m guessing you mean you registered your letter so you know it was delivered? It will be put in a box and locked in a room for 28days minimum. From there it will eventually undergo initial review and they’ll charge your credit card. Expect this to occur 3 months after they receive it.

Do not bother calling them until then.

Alright thank you, and yes I did put tracking through CP so I know when they received it.
