So, still waiting on my card but my license is approved. Any chance in hell, I can still get my hands on a pistol?

Call in, get your RPAL number, and go buy one of the P320s still in stock.

I picked up a Zastava M57 for $300. A P320 is a bit out of my price range, lol.

Yes, I bought two online with just my number. One from Elwood Epps and one from Prophet River. Do it now!

Did you previously have a PAL? If so, your RPAL number is the same, they just increase the number after the decimal by one. Use this number to buy online. Do it ASAP (right now) because the freeze may come into effect any time.

As others said, if this is your first licence, call the CFP or your CFO's Office (it may take a lot of trying to get through) and ask foe your PAL number "so you can buy a range membership". Do you nt tell them it is so you can buy a gun, they don't really like that.

Most places will not sell you anything without seeing a copy of your card these days.

At least some online stores will. They just need your licence number.

Most actually won't need to see the PAL for restricted purchase.

It's the NR purchase they will often ask for government ID and PAL, some even ask for Gun club card
