Does the chief firearms officer call you, if you put yes to the personal history question?

Not necessarily. The CFO can call anybody who submitted an application at their discretion. Just like they can choose to contact anyone’s references at their discretion, regardless of personal history questions.

If you checked yes for personal history and provided no details with your application then you will most certainly be put in the “more info needed” pile.
