This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.
In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.
These threads will be stickied for a week, renewing every Sunday @ about 0600 AST. Previous threads here. Take a look, your question may have been answered!

FINAL UPDATE
NB Resident PAL -> RPAL upgrade
July 16, 2022 Took RPAL course (in NS)
July 18, 2022 sent application to RCMP processing center in Miramichi, NB (tracking #)
July 19, 2022 RCMP processing center got the application
Sept 26, 2022 RCMP website shows my application has passed the initial review (CC also charged). This was the 1st update the website showed.
Oct 5, 2022 RCMP website shows my application was approved, card should arrive in 2 weeks.
*Oct 6, 2022 I use my existing PAL # to purchase handgun online*
Oct 11, 2022 My new RPAL card arrives in the mail.
Total time from RCMP center receiving my application to card at my door was 12 weeks or 3 months.
