What does the process of transffering a NR look like?

It says that you can go through the Web Portal. I have not logged in yet, so I don't know what it looks like what I just wanted to confirm if it's instant or if there's something I need to prepare before heading to buy a NR from a private seller.

There is no transfer for NR. You are probably thinking of the PAL verification process. I'm assuming you are talking about a private sale. Yes, the seller logs onto the web portal, and fill out the online form. Once they have verified the buyer's PAL, the seller will get a reference number, and then you can proceed with the transaction (or not).

It doesn't. These are NON-restricted firearms. It is really none of the government's business what licensed Canadians are buying.
