This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.
In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.
These threads will be stickied for a week, renewing every Sunday @ about 0600 AST. Previous threads here. Take a look, your question may have been answered!

As the deadline approaches, we are getting a lot of threads asking "where can I buy X handgun" or "I have X for sale" or "We have X handgun for sale."
Note as per Rule 6 you cannot post anything that looks like a sale, whether it's a want to buy, trade, sale, advertisement for a store, you name it. Anything that vaguely looks like something that the Reddit Admins could point to and go "see? they're selling guns." Will be immediately removed. Flagrant posts will result in an immediate time-out. Repeated attempts (even by corporate posters who have or haven't followed the registration requirements) will result in a permanent ban.
Reddit is looking for any excuse to ban firearms subs. We cannot take any risk. /r/firearmdealscanada is the sacrificial lamb for everything that you want to buy retail. There is a thread there specifically for requesting things. Please, for the love of whatever god you're into, post there. It will be removed on this subreddit. No exceptions.
We are doing this because if we let them happen, we will get banned. The sub will get pulled. End of story. We know it will happen, because it's happened before.
