Is it too late to buy a handgun in Ontario? I have my RPAL already.

Buy online today from a shop to get the application for registration in today. (Possibly, depends on how late the shop is open)

Just pick your gun. Put your pal # in and you should be good. As long as they start the transfer in time.

First time buyer here. Is the “registration” completed as part of the transfer? I remember reading on this sub that registrations submitted prior to cutoff will be completed. Just not sure if that includes transfer process. Sorry if that’s a silly question. Trying to familiarize myself with the process.

I recommend buying from a store. They will handle all of it. Then you do not have to deal with calling in

All part of one process, see the RCMP CFP website and yell at your CRFSC instructor.

You buy, the store submits the transfer, and then you wait for the transfer to be processed by your province’s CFO.

Also a good idea to follow up to get the transfer ref number. Sometimes they email it, sometimes they don’t.
