Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Ah I see, got it! Thanks! Part of me wants to call but I also know it'll be near impossible to get through and it probably won't even do anything to make me get approved any faster. They are seemingly doing applications at random for some reason.

Calling can definitely speed up transfers. It takes some effort but call 10 times in a row and you should get through (at least that has been my experience).

I'm not waiting for a transfer I'm waiting for my PAL to be issued. Wow 10 times!? I've seen people say they've tried 80+ times lol
