Just found out my RPAL has been approved and mailed. This may be a silly question, but is it possible to start the process of buying a handgun without the physical card in hand? If I was lucky enough to get through the CFO phone line queue and get my RPAL license number?

Normally I’d wait and be patient. But who knows how much longer we’ll have. Thanks all!

Thanks for your response! I’ve had quite a lot of difficulty getting through the phone lines, but will give it a shot early Tuesday morning.

Not sure what province you’re in but the past two times I’ve called my CFO (BC) I’ve been able to get through to them. I called around 12:30 both times, so probably right around when they get back from their break.

Don’t call CFO, Call CFP, to get your firearms license number
