Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

pal timeline application received may 5 cc charged June 15 approved Oct 7

called my mp 2 weeks ago. they lit a fire under the cfos ass. I'm in ontario. I'd advise you to do the same. I sent a polite email stating the wait times are bullshit and completely unacceptable. they did their thing and a boom 2 weeks later I got a call from the local cfo and was approved over the phone.

I hate that we have to be squeaky wheels to get anything done, but here we are.
