Probably look for a good range to join, I'm finding it to be pretty valuable. Lots of disciplines on the range calendar at BRRC with knowledgeable and friendly community organized around each one. Lots to do.

In conversation with someone that works at a range the reason they no longer allow non members is walk-ins have damaged the range and equipment whether intentional or not. Walk-ins need to be supervised whereas members at this particular range have demonstrated safe handling with a club level safety course.

Urban Tactical in Brantford. You can book non member slots during the week for about $50 and they allow you to bring a guest without a PAL for an additional fee

do none of you have access to a vehicle? why would crown land be out of the question?

crown land atlas to find spot, review google maps and satellite imagery, then check in with municipality regarding firearms discharge laws. its gonna be a big trip regardless, theres no crown land in southern ontario.

another option is making friends with a friends with a farmer
