Anyone know what transfers BC is processing right now?

I recently bought a handgun and called the shop to get my Transfer Ref # and their best guess was about 2 months for BC … but anything is possible.

The shop was Prophet River, and I actually spoke to the woman that does the transfers. She said the one way you can expedite things is by forwarding the Transfer Notification from the RCMP to the shop whenever you do get it. Other than that it’s a waiting game or taking your chances calling the CFO for them to jam it through, but it helps to have a good reason (moving soon, an upcoming class you’re going to need to cancel, etc).

BTW, I’ve talked to two people at Prophet River and they were both super helpful and courteous. Props to them because I’m sure they get a million calls a day about handgun transfers that they have no control over.
