Repost since I posted at the end of last week's thread.

Do I need to call the CFP and use the main line transfer option to initiate a private restricted transfer (1-4-2), or can I call my provinces CFO directly (1-1-ext)?

I have only ever been able to get through when using the extension - in Alberta anyway.

Answered my own question. Got through the phone and CFO says they can't initiate, you need to talk to the transfer unit (1-4-2).
