As a new shooter, I am looking for opinions on a firearm for target shooting. I am not a hunter, just a plinker. I have purchased a few revolvers (2×.357 and 1× .45) and now I am looking for a long gun that would be fun on the range. Any thoughts? Opinions? Guidance? Thanks for your help.

I’d recommend a .22 rifle like a Ruger 10/22 or something similar. Perfect for plinking and ammo is cheap (relatively). Also easy to introduce new people to since there’s very little recoil.
