out of the many type 81 LMG disassembly videos i could scour, not one shows how to remove the cleaning rod. how do i perform this closely guarded trade secret among type 81 owners?

Is it not exactly like a type 56? flex rod down, pull it out.

But you really don't want to use a steel rod against your barrel.
