This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

FINAL BC TIMELINE (non-restricted):

  • Sent application June 9th

  • Received June 14th

  • CC Charge/ Initial process August 30th

  • PAL issued September 2nd

-PAL DELIVERED September 20th (slower than usual, because of 2 long weekends in a row)

Just regular PAL, not RPAL? Also in BC, they received my RPAL application May 24th, CC was charged August 15th, since then status still just says "We have completed the initial review of your firearms licence application." Wondering what the hell is taking so long.

Same for me. What are next steps to figure out more information?

"Check back at a later date for more information" or some shit. I suppose you could try calling or emailing them, good luck.
