Question for all - I purchased 2 handguns well over 4 weeks ago online (1 retailer here in BC, and another in Ontario l), is it possible to call and have the transfer pushed through, or do I just have to wait?

All your purchases will need to be approved by your provincial CFO. You can call and demand that they rush your registration but I doubt the call will result in you jumping the line forward.

Are you suggesting to report a slow transfer as a missing firearm?

My CFOON ain't your CFOAB, Toronto has a higher population than Alberta.

At work with no capacity for sarcasm, my coworkers are trying to kill me. Please excuse.

Is there a different number you have for calling the CFO? I’ve been waiting since May 28th for two transfers, have called 1 (800) 731-4000 and got through like 5 times over the past 2 months and it’s always “keep waiting, your transfers are at the CFO office” as a response. They won’t give any contact info for the CFO office.

I got my AB transfer approved over the phone 3.5 weeks after purchase in July.

My roommate also did that for literally 5 other pistols.

But our provincial government doesn't want to provide services for the citizens.

Don’t listen to people telling you to wait. I emailed and got a reply/ my transfers approved upon reply a week later.

You should wait like everyone else. You'll get it eventually, you're just at the back of the line right now. We're all in this together. Some people might get it expedited by the CFO if there is a really good reason that they need it ASAP.
