Yup, there is no downside to having your restricted privileges beyond the extra cost for the course.

The biggest advantage beyond being able to get restricted is if a non-restricted you own ends up getting declassified then it’s easy to deal with compared to if you don’t have your RPAL.

It's always worth trying, you will get your license, will you get a handgun? Maybe next government.

For sure it is. You'll have access to other restricted firearms for now, and you'll be ready to hit the ground running when the transfer freeze is repealed by a competent government.

Does not worth it, you will be playing with pcc or short barrel rifles

Not until CPC form government.

There will likely be a rush on RPAL courses when that happens.
