Since the chassis itself doesn’t come with it you would need a buffer tube, likely a fixed style(non adjustable) for aesthetics reason. The Luth-ar works with either commercial or milspec specs so either are fine. I will say after owning both, the mdt is definitely a superior buttstock and I would recommend buying one from them with the chassis.

To me the body would be the buffer tube that you do need, what you don’t need is the spring or the plunger(what rides on the spring)
