You are not going to hear anything until the 3-4 month mark when they process your payment. Way too early right now.

any idea why the service standard change? i looked through last year's threads around the same time, people in Ontario were getting theirs within 28days. At least people were getting status updates every 2-3 weeks. 3 months is what I was told both here and the RCMP rep. I get the feeling that since this is what we are told so thats the standard. Another "theres not much we can do" excuse. I hope during the fall they can hire students to process things faster to deal with the backlog.

Edit: the 28 days were the total actual timeline/duration posted by multiple people on the same type of thread last year same time in Ontario, I am well aware of the 28 day cooling period

There was (is) a minimum 28 day 'cool-off' prior to applications beginning to be processed, so no people in Ontario were not receiving their license within 28 days of sending in their application.

Covid backlogs mixed with over an entire year's worth of pistol purchases within a month is whats causing the backlog. That mixed with people on here calling in '100 times a day' as I've read on here over and over are also the problem, but we won't even go there lol
